ithink: that you don't need to wear a "bridesmaid" dress to be a bridesmaid

So...my sis is getting married next year. Yayy!! On top of me trying to get her to NOT buy a traditional wedding dress (teehee) I am trying to search for the perfect non-bridesmaidsy bridesmaid dress. I'm down for breaking tradition (in good taste) and not conforming to others' standards.

The "colors" of the wedding are white, GOLD GOLD (like-bling-bling, Cleopatra, high-brow-kinda-gold), and a touch of turquoise. Therefore, my dress is either going to be GOLD GOLD, maybe gray, maybe champagne, OR a blue-ish dress. Again, trying to avoid any traditional standards.
