I am so excited for 4th of July this year and sooo proud to be Americana ;) I am blessed to have not been shipped back to my country of origin about 8 yrs ago when my fam was finally anointed citizenship. woot woot for freedom and still being able to date cute white men (insert sarcasm - ;) my sis read this and nearly had a heart attack).

ithink: that you don't need to wear a "bridesmaid" dress to be a bridesmaid

So...my sis is getting married next year. Yayy!! On top of me trying to get her to NOT buy a traditional wedding dress (teehee) I am trying to search for the perfect non-bridesmaidsy bridesmaid dress. I'm down for breaking tradition (in good taste) and not conforming to others' standards.

The "colors" of the wedding are white, GOLD GOLD (like-bling-bling, Cleopatra, high-brow-kinda-gold), and a touch of turquoise. Therefore, my dress is either going to be GOLD GOLD, maybe gray, maybe champagne, OR a blue-ish dress. Again, trying to avoid any traditional standards.

ihave: @twelfthstreet by cynthia vincent peach tiered dress

i wore this gorgeous peach tiered dress (on the right) by "Twelfth Street by Cynthia Vincent" for my cousins May wedding in Boston - it was so comfortable and perfect it didn't need much dress up - however, I did get a "gypsy" feel from the dress and therefore put on my bangles, my signature bracelets on my upper arm, tons of rings, and big gypsy hoop earrings to top it off :) Soo much fun to wear!! Warning: a little see-through, so I put on a guarder for my bottoms.
